Public Consultation
Based on the authorities granted to the Communications and Media Commission under Legislative Order No. (65) of 2004 in force, which is in effect, and which authorizes this commission to regulate the media, information technology, and communications sector in accordance with the best internationally recognized methods and approaches, taking into account the laws in force in the Republic of Iraq.
In order to achieve the principle of transparency and to recognize the role of stakeholders in the communications and information technology sector, the Commission invites relevant competent authorities to express their opinions and comments on the “Draft Regulatory Framework for Licensing Broadband Services via Non-Geostationary Satellite Systems (NGSO) for Terrestrial Communications” which is posted on the website as a public consultation.
If you would like to express your opinions or suggestions regarding the draft, please submit them to the communications and media commission building located at (Iraq – Baghdad / Al-Masbah Area – Babylon District / Block 929 – Alley 32 – Building No. 18) in an official form or via email to (vsat@cmc.iq).
Please note that the deadline for submitting responses and comments regarding the aforementioned public consultation is the end of official working hours on 17/6/2025. Otherwise, the commission will not be able to receive any responses or comments in this regard after the specified date.
